Future Port Prague 2019
AISI (AI startup Incubator) participated to the Future Port Prague event also this year and we were fascinated by the moon-shots theme choice to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing. It is important to keep in mind the immense power the human brain has.
Future Port Prague brings together future-focused visionaries from startups to global giants, from academia to government, to explore how to leverage exponential technology to create a human-centric future of abundance. Hundreds of innovative companies and dozens of speakers from around the world came to Prague for two days to connect and discuss with us how technology will change business, life and society.
In the two years of its existence, Future Port Prague has become one of the largest international futuristic events in the heart of Europe and AI Startup Incubator is a proud partner of this event since the very start.
The 2019 summit was full of interesting topics and speakers who brought many ideas and triggered several thoughts. Over 60 brilliant speakers from around the world shared their personal stories and real-world case studies showing what’s possible already today and what comes tomorrow.
We are used to thinking about artificial intelligence (AI) in the future tense, speculating how technological developments in this area will affect us. While we use our energy trying to figure out what to expect in the future, we sometimes miss the point that AI and robotization have already started transforming our daily lives. Events like Future Prague Port give you an understanding of the edge technologies current “state of the art” and what are the challenges professionals are facing today to enable the usage of such technologies in the future.
While we will most certainly need a crystal ball to foresee how the technology landscape will evolve in the future, a central point must be made.
The automation outcomes are not pre-determined and will be shaped by the policies and choices we make. Instead of worrying about what could happen due to automation and increased uptake of AI, we should focus on what should happen. New technologies are powerful tools, but they do not come with a how-to-use guide. We are empowered and responsible for what the future will look like.
